The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a duo - Ashutosh and Manish Prakash from Patna for their role in NEET-UG 2024 paper leak. Manish had reportedly put up the candidates at a boys' hostel in Patna on May 4 and offered them with paper leaked through unscrupulous means. Manish had brought with him seven boys in a safe house on May 4, while Ashutosh conceded this before the camera by allowing more than over fifteen ones to purloin the exam paper next morning. This year, the NEET-UG 2024 exam conducted on May 5 had stirred a controversy as after results were declared, at least 67 candidates got full marks and this raised eyebrows that something was amiss in setting question papers or evaluation. It also headed a controversy over grace marks accorded to students, which the Centre later withdrew awarding 1,563 students retest.
