Ranchi: Jharkhand High court today granted bail to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in land scam case on 28th of this month. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) took Soren into custody on January 31, after interrogating him for about seven hours. He had stepped down as chief minister before his arrest. According to the ED, Soren had illegally taken possession of 8.5 acres land. The phone also contained chats and details of the assets allegedly received by Soren illegally Bhanu_Prpat P_victim's mobile had information More than 25 persons including Soren were arrested in connection with the investigation. Soren refuted the charges claiming it was political vendetta by BJP-led central government. The ED had on June 22 confiscated Rs one crore in cash and 100 live bullets at Ranchi. The HC had earlier dismissed allegations of political vendetta made by Soren.
