CBI files chargesheet against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in excise policy scam; custody extended till August 8.

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in the excise policy 'scam. This followed an order from the Rouse Avenue Court that extended Kejriwal’s police custody to August 8. The custody of AAP leader Manish Sisodia and BRS leader K Kavitha was also extended. Kejriwal was charged as the main conspirator in June by CBI along with ex-AAP media in-charge Vijay Nair having nexus with liquor producers. The CBI charged Kejriwal with having "no rationale" in raising profit margins for liquor wholesalers to 12 percent. According to the report, Rs 44.
