Centre Stands Firm on NEET-UG, No Retest Planned Amid Controversy

The Centre told the Supreme Court that it has no intention to scrap NEET-UG or conduct a retest, stressing there are not many major anomalies between 24 lakh candidates. The Centre had also argued that all honest candidates would be seriously prejudiced if the 2024 exam is cancelled without any concrete proof of leaked questions. The government also pledged to hold fair exams and tackle any criminal activities that affected hard won integrity. Meanwhile, in the wake of protests over irregularities in NEET-UG and UGC-NET which resulted to many cancellations/ postponements dates; The next NEET-PG examination will be held on August 11.
