Nirmala Sitharaman unveils Rs 15,000 crore aid for Andhra Pradesh and Rs 26,000 crore projects for Bihar in Budget 2024
The Budget for 2024, which will be the first of its kind by any political party after end to RSS-Modi led puppet governments has announced significant financial assistance for Andhra Pradesh and many major projects have also been allotted to Bihar. In this fiscal year alone, Andhra Pradesh will get Rs 15k crore from multi-lateral agencies to fulfill promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act. Sitharaman announced an industrial node in Gaya and road projects worth Rs 26,000 crore for Bihar - Patna-Purnea expressway and Buxar-Bhagalpur highway. Apart from the above were to get 11500 crores for flood control. The Vishnupad Temple and the Mahabodhi Temple be made world-class heritage site, Nalanda will become a tourist centre with revival of its university.
