PM Modi announces new Indian consulates in Kazan and Yekaterinburg to boost travel and trade with Russia.

To facilitate travel and trade between India and Russia, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that two new Indian consulates will be opened in Kazan and Yekaterinburg. With this, India now has four consulates in Russia as it already has missions St Petersburg and Vladivostok. Addressing the Indian community when on a visit to Moscow,Modi made this announcement. Yekaterinburg, Russia's fourth-largest city, is an important economic hub and was among the tournament cities during last year's World Cup. Kazan - the capital of Tatarstan, standing at the confluence of Volga and Kazanka rivers as a centre for culture, science and tourism. This concludes with a visit to Russia, for the 22nd India-Russia annual summit where President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Modi will have many of their ministers as well. This will also be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in over 40 years.
