Supreme Court begins hearing over 40 petitions on NEET-UG 2024 exam leak, questioning if it warrants cancellation.


The petition on the Supreme Court of India controversy over the NEET-UG 2024 exam began The first CJI D Y Chandrachud led three-judge bench wondered whether the exam leak was so systemic as to merit cancellation of the entire test. Over 40 petitions, including pleas from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and aggrieved students are being heard. NTA will want to change over all cases, (all through different High Courts) into the Supreme Court. The bench is hearing the submissions on status report filed by CBI in its probe over leak of Toolkit subject to maintainability. Both the Center's brief and NTA's affidavit say that there have been not an evidence widespread wrongdoiing. The Supreme Court had last month ordered full disclosure of all aspects related to the leak... as also on how it impacts the integrity of exam.
