Waterlogging from heavy rains in Pune causes three electrocutions, triggering rescue operations and safety measures.
Heavy rains have triggered waterlogging, leading to the death of at least 3 people in Pune. Rescue operations were carried out by city fire department with assistance of two National Disaster Response forces, in Ekta Nagar. Pune Collector Suhas Diwase ordered a 48-hour closure of tourist spots, while traffic on flood-prone bridges was limited. They're asking residents to stay indoors or in cars, a practice known as sheltering-in-place. PUNE: Incessant rains lashed Pune and Kolhapur leading to flooding, while normal life was thrown out of gear on Sunday with heavy showers expected in the coming days.
