Adani Group denies Hindenburg's claims linking Sebi Chairperson Buch to offshore entities, calls allegations baseless.

H(caps)indenburg Research has alleged connections of Sebi Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval with offshore entities which figure in the financial transactions Adani Group is engaged into, charges that have been strongly refuted by Adanis. In a statement late Monday, Adani said the allegations were "malicious and misleading", claiming Hindenburg had turned public domain information into something more in order to profit. The group counter-accused the claims saying they are old and thrown out by Supreme Court. Adani said its overseas assets were transparent and QNI had no continuing commercial relationship with the figures named in the report. Both Sebi Chairperson Buch and her husband responded to the allegations by calling them "baseless" and said they had volunteered all financial details sharing their stand in being transparent as well as abiding regulatory norms.
