A fatal incident took place in this Nepalese country when a bus which was carrying about 40 passengers of Indian expatriate fell over a river leading to the death of fourteen people. sixteen people who were on board the bus survived the accident but with physical injuries The accident occurred along the Pokhara-Kathmandu route. The car, that had an Uttar Pradesh (UP) number plate, with the registration number UP FT 7623 skidded off the road at the Aaina Pahara area of the Tanahun district. 

DSP Deepkumar Raya said it is true that over 100 people were trapped in thecollapse incident for which the rescue effort is ongoing. The police force which is engaged in the search operations at the site includes 45 policemen led by the Senior Superintendent of Police – Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School Madhav Paudel. 

The Indian passengers had been holding accommodation at the Majheri Resort in Pokhara prior to the voyage. On Friday morning at around 7 am, the bus which was transporting people from Pokhara to Kathmandu met the accident. The actual reason that led to the accident that saw the bus falling over the river is not known and officials are in the process of identifying the missing and helping those injured. This is because the incident caused by the begging incident shows the risks associated wit road transport in the region hence raising debate on road safety.
