Five Arrested for Alleged Gang-Rape of Minor Inside Dehradun Bus

Dehradun: In a shocking incident that has come to light from the city, five people have been arrested including three employees of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation for allegedly gangraping a 16-year-old girl inside the bus at ISBT in Dehradun. The police were informed by child welfare authorities and girl who had run away from her Moradabad, UP home during a counselling session conducted at the Child Helpline on Monday night. The two contract drivers, bus driver and conductor ticket counter cashier are among the accused. The girl was called from New Delhi registered Kashmere Gate ISBT, provided a lift to Dehradun and then raped in the bus which he parked. A vigilant security guard who noticed some suspicious activity rescued the girl. It said the bus had now been impounded for forensic examination.
