India and Poland Sign Social Security Agreement, Strengthen Bilateral Ties

PM Modi announces a social security pact with Poland, enhancing cooperation in technology, clean energy, and economic growth.


Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be glad to know that India and Poland have signed the social security agreement and in the field of new technologies, clean energy source etc. Speaking to the Indian community in Warsaw, Modi pointed to the change of Indian foreign policy from the policy of ‘viksit desh kartavya’ or the principle of ‘India for Indians, nowhere else’ to ‘proactive, purposive, imaginative and innovative engagement with other countries’. He underlined that Indian and Polish companies work more closely and this way numbers of employment being provided in both India and Poland. 

 

During this visit, the first one for an Indian Prime Minister in 45 years, Modi would meet Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Andrzej Duda with the intention to promote and increase bilateral relations between both countries. He reaffirmed the target of making India a developed country by 2047 and highlighted programmes such as the Semiconductor Mission, the Deep Ocean Mission besides the National Quantum Mission. 

 

 He also appreciated the Indian community in contributing during Ukraine crisis and thanked the Polish government for extending help to the Indian students. He goes to Poland at a time when the two countries are celebrating the severance of seventy years of diplomatic relations. After the Warsaw visit, Modi is headed for Kyiv, where he will be the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country after its independence in 1991.
