‘We want to remove that kind of thinking where the society tells you; you cannot do this, you cannot go that way,’ said Ranaut. She opined that Rahul Gandhi has been demonstration of a failed leader because he thinks he has the right to be in leadership position.

Ranaut stressed the point saying that it is not Gandhi ‘s heritage belong to some family but it is Gandhi ‘s heritage it belongs to India. She declared that she had the freedom as an artist which she can paint the history and constitution of the country and that in the future, generations would have this socio political understanding of India through her arts. This she said about feeble rumors that her artistic undertakings are financially motivated saying, “I do not see her as Rahul Gandhi’s grandmother. Those who voted for Rahul may feel that I am benefiting from making a film on her but that is not the truth. ”

She also had harsh words for Rahul Gandhi saying that he is a ‘mess’, running after a chair and has no plan that is visible in his speeches or his behavior.
