Reliance Industries Adds 1.7 Lakh Jobs, Becomes Top Employer in India, Says Mukesh Ambani

Reliance Industries added 1.7 lakh jobs in 2023, contributing Rs 1.86 lakh crore to India's economy, says Mukesh Ambani.

As per various external surveys, Reliance Industries still maintain the top position as the best employer in India. Mukesh Ambani, the company’s chairman said that Reliance still remains one of India’s largest employers having recruited over 1+. 7 lakh new jobs in the last year, any entrepreneurial/start up/summit initiative can be purely implemented. The total employee base of the company covering traditional as well as new era engagement models are close to 6000. 5 lakh. While speaking about this accomplishment, Ambani said that it occupies a “special place” in his heart. 

 

 Reliance has invested over Rs 5. ” Data and Research” was the source of the information regarding investment made by Reliance. 25 lakh crore in last three years and is the ‘biggest filer’ to central exchequer with an estimated contribution of Rs 1,86,440 crore through Taxes & Duties in FY2023-24. The company also raised CSR spending by 25pc to Rs 1,592 crore from the current year and Rs 4,000 crore within three years. 

 

 In his speech, Ambani said that Reliance’s purpose is the reason behind its growth strategies. “We are not here to make quick buck or amass fortunes for ourselves, WE are here to create wealth for India and to improve the standard of living of every Indian,” he said. Further, he also stressed upon Reliance’s ability and more on the fact that it has transformed the world into one that is secure from an energy perspective while also spelling out a greener world for the next generation. 

 

 Ambani also explained that India’s Reliance has become member of the world’s list of 50 most valuable companies, a process which took only twenty years.
