Dehradun: The Supreme Court closed the contempt case against Swami Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved MD Acharya Balakrishna for misleading advertisements. The court accepted their unconditional apology and undertaking before observing Patanjali would refrain from releasing further misleading ads. Ramdev and Balakrishna have since issued apologies in several newspapers across the country. However, a bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Sandeep Mehta said the matter would be again taken up as contempt if they violate their undertaking. The matter was initiated on a plea by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) which had alleged that Ramdev and Balakrishna have "deliberately disobeyed" its order directing them not to make such statements through their drug Coronil.
