West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blew her top early Thursday when the junior doctors who are striking over the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case did not show up at Nabanna, the state’s secretariat to attend a called meeting. Banerjee said that she was able to wait for two hours but doctors present in the secretariat wanted a live telecast of the meeting and therefore extended discussions.

The other significant discovery is that the West Bengal government had invited the doctors for normalcy and to keep health care in business for the public. The idea was to be filmed and therefore there were arranged plans to record the meeting but the doctors demanded to Live Stream the meeting.

He also said that CM had tried his level best to resolve the doctors’ issues and agreed to record the meetings. But the doctors did not bow to pressure and insisted on the broadcast to be done live.

A group of 30 junior doctors reached the venue, Nabanna, 25 minutes behind the schedule, with police security. However, it remained a stalemate since other formalities for entry were only performed but the live streaming was not allowed. Finally, the doctors and the government officials also had separate closed-door meetings to determine the future action on the matter and therefore, the problem remained unsolved. The draw is evident of the current battle between the state government and doctors.
