Naveen jindal ‘s mother savitri jindal, who is holding the BJP ticket from Kurukshetra MP submitted her nomination papers on Thursday as an Independent candidate for the Haryana Assembly elections for Hisar assembly segment. In 2009 at the age of 74 Savitri Jindal, the widow of industrialist OP Jindal is a candidate against the sitting MLA cum Haryana minister Kamal GUPTA.
For instance, Forbes India ranked Savitri Jindal, who is the largest private steel exporter in this year’s wealthiest woman in India with an estimated worth of USD 29. 1 billion. She emphasised on her dedication for the progress of Hisar after she submitted her nomination and still remained committed to the people of Hisar as her husband, the late Shiv Charan had put her in contact with them. She also categorically assured them of her commitment to honour their trust.
Earlier, Jindal won the assembly election from Hisar constituency in 2005 and 2009 on Congress ticket and was a minister in 2013. In March she resigned from the Congress.
Prominent people like Congress leader Randeep Surjewala’s son Aditya Surjewala participated and filled the nominations for the Haryana assembly elections. Also, INLD chief Abhay Chautala, BJP candidate Mahipal Dhanda and Congress candidate Chander Mohan also filed their nomination papers for different constituencies.
These are the parliamentary elections which are expected to take place on October 5 while the voting results are expected to be released on October 8.
