Stree 2 for Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has become super hit and it has entered ₹500 crore club in the box office collection. The horror-comedy opened outperformed the forecast of many trade analysts. The movie collected ₹ 307. 80 crore within the first week including preview shows and ₹ 145. 80 crore in the second week. In its third weekend Stree 2 grossed ₹48. 75 crore, which happens to be higher than the third weekend collection of Hindi version of Baahubali 2 which was ₹42. 55 crore.
The movie Stree 2 has collected ₹ 502. 35 crore in India by the third Sunday of the movie release. In absence of formidable competition at the box office it has the potential to cross ₹ 600 crore. Trade expert Taran Adarsh lauded the performance of the film that it can as well threaten the lifetime collection of other huge movies like Jawan and emerge as the record breaker in Hindi cinema.
Stree 2 is a film directed by Amar Kaushik and the script is written by Niren Bhatt, this film is a sequel of Stree of 2018. It is a sequel to the movie ‘1920’ which narrates the story of a young couple Vicky and his fiancée with friends who have to encounter supernatural forces in Chanderi. It is a Maddock Supernatural Universe and stars actors namely – Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. It’s planned for release on 15th July, 2024 it shares its territory with other films such as Khel Khel Mein starring Akshay Kumar and Vedaa with John Abraham.
