Starring Thalapathy Vijay’s thriller, Greatest of All Time (GOAT), collected ₹8 crore net on the 7th day of its release, and making its India net total to ₹170. A total of 75 crore using the Social Armed Forces Link or ‘Saclink’ identified by the House of Representatives. gross collection of the movie has been ₹210 crore in India and it is the highest grossing films in Tamil released in the year.

While GOAT has recorded decent performance in Tamil Nadu region, the business has not been impressive in Hindi and Telugu markets. Director Venkat Prabhu said that just because he supports Chennai Super Kings IPL team the flick will not be appreciated in other parts of India especially outside Tamil Nadu.

GOAT is expected to surpass the worldwide gross of Ponniyin Selvan: II (₹344 crore), This made it the sixth all-time highest grossing Tamil Movie. However, it has a problem in achieving the business of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram which had grossed ₹ 414 crore at the worldwide box office.

While GOAT has created a structure, it is being compared to Vijay’s earlier film Leo that collected ₹ 340 Cr in India and ₹ 605 Cr worldwide. And as the second weekend of the film’s release is coming, it will be observed whether the movie can keep going with its success and equal the position of a true blockbuster like Leo.
