It transpired that an infiltration bid from across the LoC in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir was busted by the Indian Army along with the neutralization of two terrorists. The operation, named as Operation Gugaldhar was launched by the Indian army along with the Jammu and Kashmir police after receiving some inputs that a infiltration bid was on the way.

The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps posted on X, what used to be Twitter, on Friday to announce the operation and mentioned movement of militants in the Gugaldhar area of KUpwara. Later on Saturday the Army gave a briefing, the two terrorists were said to have been neutralized during the operation.

Chinar Corps also said: “War-like stores have been recovered, and a search operation is still ongoing in the area.” The operation is still in progress as the Army searches the area for other threats and signs of terrorist activity.

This latest success shows that Indian security forces remain on high alert along the LoC and continue their work to prevent attempts by anti-India militant groups to cross the border and foment unrest. Additional information about the continuing operation will be provided as the search continues on.
